Having a good rig makes for a good gaming experience. I've found that 1/2 the time when I don't like the game, it's not because I've chosen a crappy game, it's because it's time to upgrade my computer and it's not running the game well.

Processor: AMD Phenon II X6 1090T 3.21GHz
Memory: 8 gigs
Hard Drive: 128 GB Corsair SSD Primary, 2 TB Seagate spinning thing for storage.
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX560
Monitor: (2) Acer G215H 21"
Sound Card: What my MB came with, it works fine with a good receiver and speakers.
Speakers/Headphones: Klipsch that are attached to a Denon receiver or my Bose headset.
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Computer Case: Antec 900 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate ( You get what you pay for here. This is a great mechanical keyboard. )
Mouse: Microsoft Arc ( Not the new one, that one's crap. The old Arc is light and very responsive )

I can stream to Twitch.tv in full 720p with no fps loss with this rig.
